There Goes Earl

Hurricane Earl petered out off the coast of North Carolina just before it hit, dropping from a behemoth Category 4 storm to Category 2.  Now it’s down to Category 1 and headed north.  Aside from some street flooding in the Outer Banks, it doesn’t look like there was much in the way of damage.  Those of us a little more inland only saw some gusty wind and rain late last night.

Looks like North Carolina dodged the bullet this time.  Even though it’s considerably weakened, I hope my friends up north do alright when Earl hits them this weekend.

As weird as it is to be disappointed by a hurricane not hitting us, it would have been nice to have some wind. sheesh, we didn’t even lose power. We lose power down here when too many seagulls fly passed.
