Dogfish on Tour: Dooooook!

A little bit of shameless self-promotion for your Tuesday evening.  This weekend I’ll be speaking at the Graduate Student Mini-Symposium at the Duke Marine Lab in Beaufort.  This should be a nice, low-key event and a good opportunity to hang out with 2/3 of the Southern Fried Science crew and other cool people I rarely get to see due to being an hour and a half away and usually only down there for work (states are too big in the South).  Otolith enthusiast Dan will be down there as well, for those of you who like your fish a little more calcified.

To add a little icing on the cake, it’s also the NC Seafood Festival in Morehead City, nearly walking-distance (probably closer by water) from the symposium.  This is the first year since moving to North Carolina that something grad school-related hasn’t kept me away from it.  I have a feeling that will be factoring heavily in whatever free time is involved with this weekend.  Better get caught up on homework and reading now…
