It’s time for yet another stop on the Chuck Won’t Shut Up About His Research Tour. Next weekend I’ll be up in Gloucester, Virginia (not Massachusetts) for the annual meeting of the AFS Tidewater Chapter. It’ll be taking place at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) from the 10th-12th. If you’re registered to go or are in the area and thinking about paying a visit, I’ll be giving a talk on my work so far on spiny dogfish diets in North Carolina, with a focus on how habitat selection and demographics affect feeding habits. Definitely stop in and say hi if you’ll be there, and as always any tips on where to find food and beverages in the area are encouraged and appreciated.

Dear Chuck,
Hi my name is Anthony Mosinski, I am currently a student at The Ohio State University. I am very interested in doing my thesis on the spiny dogfish. I was wondering if you could tell me what you like and/or do not like about studying them, as well as if that is what you are doing or did yours on? I will not be attending grad. school for another two years but I am looking into it now so I can start planning my future schedules and future school. Any information would be much appreciated.
